The Challenge:
To design a collection purely using construction and white tarletan. Diving deep into the beauty of construction, surface manipulation and decoration were prohibited.
Designed in Paris, this collection takes inspiration from the french value on strong technical construction - specifically the technicality of interlocking - and transforms it into a metaphorical statement about the fragility of human relationships. It takes inspiration from the fascination of how people once so tightly locked together can eventually separate. This process is visualized into a construction story to highlight beauty in brokenness & beauty in the aftermath of change.
